Mew L.J. and Friends were born in Guangzhou, China. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, and English, they have spent seven years abroad, currently residing in the U.S. Mew's art history study focuses on Japanese visual culture. Their illustrations explore the subjects of mental health, loneliness, and imaginary friends. Mew and Friends hope to invite audiences from varied backgrounds to appreciate cultural differences without barriers.
